Lipo-Dissolve is a new, non-surgical liposculpture procedure for difficult areas of fat removal, which do not respond to conventional diet and exercise. The treatment can replace or enhance liposuction. Sequences of injections are given into the area concerned, just beneath the skin, to directly reduce fat accumulation and cause fat cell loss.
6 to 8 treatments are usually required on a one-two weekly basis for the body and limbs. There is some mild discomfort in the treated area for a few hours after the injections and simple Panadol is all that is required for this. Prescribing diuretics and wearing compressive clothing, such as compression stockings or bike shorts, relieve swelling of the treated area. Arnica cream or tablets also help reduce pain and bruising. It is best to avoid aspirin and non-steroidal anti-inflammatories, as these might exacerbate bruising.
